Delete your account

From the app

This is the quickest way: the deletion is immediate and an email confirms it.

If you turned on two-factor authentication, the app asks for your code before deleting the account.

• Open Settings.
• In the Danger zone, tap “Delete my account”.
• Check what happens to each of your households, then confirm.

Without the app

Write to contact@foodystock.com from your account’s email address, with the subject “Delete my account”.

So that nobody else can delete your account, we reply to that address to confirm the request before deleting anything.

Once the request is confirmed, we delete the account within one month at most, and in practice within a few days. An email confirms the deletion.

What is erased

Deleting your account erases it and the data linked to it:

• your profile: first name, photo, email address, language and analytics choice;
• your sign-in methods, your two-factor authentication and its recovery codes;
• your household memberships;
• the households you are the only member of, with all their stock, their shopping list and their recipes;
• your health data: calorie goal, measures and food diary;
• the product names you suggested to other households, and your reports;
• the days you used the app and the information about your device;
• your phones’ notification tokens and your shopping notification choice;
• your households’ notifications.

What is kept

A household you share with other members stays theirs. If you own it, another member becomes its owner (the app tells you who before you confirm). The products you added stay in its stock, and the items of its shopping list and the recipes you wrote stay there, without your name.

The log of the team’s actions on your account (a suspension, for example) is kept for the security of the service, with your email address masked.

Technical backup copies then disappear through their normal rotation.

Erasing only part of your data

Without deleting your account, you can use the app to remove products from the stock or items from the shopping list, delete a recipe or an entry of your diary, withdraw your consent to health data (which erases all of it), turn off shopping notifications, leave a household, delete your photo or change your first name. For anything else, write to contact@foodystock.com.
