Terms of use

The service

FoodyStock helps a household keep track of its food: adding items by barcode scan, use-by dates, storage places, sharing between members and a daily reminder.

The app is in development. During test phases, features may change, be interrupted or be removed.

Your account

You agree to provide a valid email address and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for your account’s activity and for the members you invite to your household.

Acceptable use

You may not:

• use the service for unlawful purposes;
• try to access other households’ data or disrupt the service;
• copy, resell or bulk-extract the service’s content.

Dates and food safety

The dates FoodyStock suggests are estimates, based on the type of product and where it is kept. They do not replace the date printed on the packaging or your own judgement.

If in doubt about a food (smell, look, damaged packaging), do not eat it.

Product data

Product information comes from Open Food Facts, a collaborative database published under the Open Database License (ODbL). It may be incomplete or inaccurate.

Availability

We do our best to keep the service available and reliable, but cannot guarantee it will never be interrupted, especially during development.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, FoodyStock is not liable for indirect damage arising from use of the service, nor for the consequences of an estimated date. Nothing in these terms limits your consumer rights.

Intellectual property

The FoodyStock name, logo, design and code are protected. The data you enter remains yours.

Ending use

You can delete your account at any time from the app. We may suspend an account that seriously breaches these terms, after informing you except in urgent cases.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Belgian law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence.
